: Hey all! I just wanted to let everyone know what happened when we picked up the new little girl today. Well, the breeder called last night, and let us know all the flight information. Now I'm thinking, "I hope this guy doesn't screw up again." To my suprise he got everything right this time. Now the airlines, that's a different story. We get there, and they don't have the first clue where she is. I was at the airport for 7 hours looking for this poor baby. Now if you lose your luggage, they can tell you where it is within 10 minutes or so even if it's in another state all together. Oh no, not a "live animal." We called to make sure she was put on the flight, and I had people all over the airport searching for her, and she had a stop along the way, (no changing flights or anything, just a stop) so I called there too. I even had them call the next stop to make sure some one wasn't an idiot, and didn't get her off here. Nope, no sign of her. The customer service people kept trying to get me to go home, and they would call, but I just knew she was there, and I just knew she was scared to death. I wouldn't budge! After 7 hours, I lost it, and went in to a rage! "Do you people know that even a short trip for these animals can be so stressful, it could kill them?" "Do you know that if she isn't given water for even one day, she can get so dehidrated she can die?" "Do you people realise that she needs to be a certain temperature, or she can die?" "If I lose my baby, because you people are too stupid to know where your live animal shipments are, you will be sorry you ever met me!!!!!!" At this point a very nice lady came over and said please take this voucher for food, and go to the food court, and eat. When you get back, we should know where she is. I did go eat. When I got back, they had brought a manager out to search for her personally, and you would not beleave where they found her. She was on a loading/unloading tuck (the little cars with just flaps on the sides) ON THE FLIGHT LINE!!!!! I was so inraged! This poor little baby. I live in New England, and it was warm today, but we didn't find her till 8:00pm. It was cold, and I can't even immagin how cold she must have been on the flight line! I huffed and puffed, and called them all jack asses as I left the airport, and brought her home. Poor baby. *** : Jessica and Toby, and our new little girl Hey, thank you for all your help. I only hope it will work and I hope she will learn to trust and bond with me. Good luck with your new little girl. I was thinking of getting a friend for my new SG off the internet but after I have heard of the trouble that you went through to get you new little baby girl. So I am seriously thinking of waiting untill I can find an available SG closer to home. Thank you again for all your help and good luck!
