I know someone who was bonded with her glider, but like you a trip to an illegal state prevnted her from taking him, hopefully she will come on and tell her story, she left him behind with someone she trusted, I agreed with her then and still agree that is the best option when dealing with states like California and Georgia... I myself wouldn't go, but that is me. I won't ever leave my Baybe alone again when I leave. It depends I guess on the bond you have with your glider. Many here have met Baybe and I and have a chance to see the bond we do have, Baybe may literally die if I every left her again. I did once for 3 days, she had 2 joeys that were only 2 days OOP, I thought leaving her was in the best interest of the joeys; however, due to the fact I had NEVER left her before, she suffered from separation anxiety and she ate her joeys.. My vet as well as many of the people that know me, all agree it was the separation.. On the other end of the coin, I would never jeopardize the life of my glider by taking her into an illegal state such as California, IF by some slim chance and I do mean slim, that you can get her past the airport security, then you have to worry about the plane ride, as well as getting her into and back out of California. My options for you would be the same as it was for my other friend..
