Yes at first she was not even my glider, she belonged to my boyfriend and i noticed that she did nothing but sit in her cage and i was very concerend because I know alot about animals and even for a rodent, this wouldnt have been normal so i talked to him about her and stuff adn I also happen to notice her getting agressive and tearing up her cage and i told him he needed to find a better home for her because she obviously was very stressed out. So of course since he knows everything he is like.. wel ill take care of her blahblah so i knew he wouldnt so i took it upon myself to research and i realized how unique and sweet the animals could be. I realized that she was acting this way because lately he hadnt spent any time with her. So i started to take her out of her cage and pet her and take better care of her and she and I have bonded a little since. She seems much happier and now i have gotten attached to her so I am trying to do all I can to learn how to take care of her because I want to keep her now. I also have been teaching him things to do with her that i got from the bonding page and things about her diet and what not to do. This should be a lesson for people to NOT buy an animal from a petstore no matter how " cool " they look because thats exactly what he did and i lecture him all the time about how now he is getting his payback because I refuse to see him mistreat any creature.. Ignorance is bliss i suppose because he had no worries before. But I know that if it had lasted this way much longer she would be seriously sick or even dead. Her diet was all wrong, she didnt get attention her cage is not big enough and after learning all i could about gliders i realized he was treating her as if she were some kind of gerbil!!! I was apolled and upset with him and he got an earful ! Anyways,.. this just goes to show that as long as you love an animal or any animal for that matter, you will eventually have to take responsibility for someone elses creature ( not that i mind becaus shes my little baby now ).But I just wante to say that I am thankful for this board and all of your suggestions and support and help..
