You can be just as careful as you can, but accidents still happen. Not that you shouldn't have dogs and gliders - I have 11 gliders and 11 dogs, but they're not kept on the same levels of the house. My dogs don't have access to my gliders - not ever. Not to mention, sugar gliders are VERY high maintenance animals - meaning, they have special needs that MUST be taken care of properly or they will die. Keep researching and save your money - maybe one day the situation with the dog will change. KK : Hi, : Daniel
