Leashes are as controversial as any other subject on her. IN MY OPINION... I personally don't like the idea of using a leash, my Baybe LOVES to glide and when she glides she snaps out her membrane. Her membrane is as thin as satin and I couldn't even imagine putting something around it that could accidently cut it. As far as the leashes that go around the neck, I have checked out some very popular leashes for gliders. The problem I have with them is that they are string like that goes around the neck, I just picture her trying to jump off and being jerked back by her neck. (much like someone grabbing you by a necklace and jerking you backwards. A friend of mine and myself have been trying to find different things that would be more comfortable for the neck area, since the membrane area is out of the question. To no avail. unlike a cat or dog they don't have a jaw per-sae that would hold if they want to remove it. There have been people who have used leashes on theirs from the time their gliders were tiny oop and others that have had their gliders get hurt for various reasons, whether it was improper use of the leash or just a leash with a poor design. This is just my opinion..but that is how I feel about it.. Good luck on your venture.. BTW My Baybe still goes EVERYWHERE with me..I wear an outer shirt over my pocket tee. if she comes out she is still within at least 1 of my shirts..
