Animals do not have the same emotions as people. Don't get me wrong, I love my pets and I sure they love me in their own way, but they do not care the same way as humans. I am am not bashing you, but this attitude is also the reason there are so many dogs and cats in shelters today. My dog was spayed as soon as she was old enough (4 months). And I dont think that she is missing a thing. The only thing she is missing is the chance of getting mammary tumors, cancer, etc. Not to mention the chance of her offspring being condemned to a shelter and/or death. (There are many purebred and AKC papered dogs in shelters). I am sure this is also the case with gliders. There probably just hasn't been the amount of medical research on them as there has been on dogs and cats. This is just my 2 cents worth.
