: I was reading this page in the veterinary library online
: and the part abotu sugar gliders i read all of it and got to this last part that reads:
: It is important to prevent sugar gliders access to...
:
: excessive fat in the diet (peanuts, seeds).
: chocolate, refined sugars.
: processed human foods with preservatives.
: pesticides.
: cedar shavings.
: branches from toxic trees.
: bright lights or direct, unfiltered/unshaded sunlight.
: excessive heat, coolness.
: dogs and cats.
: unsupervised handling by small children.
: unsupervised freedom in the home.
:
: Cedar Shavings?? How is that bad for them?? I have cedar shavings in the bottom of my cage ?? Should I worry??

As you know by now a lot of things are bad or good it your own view on things. I think corn is okay, but too much $$$$ Aspine is better, softer.
I use cage catchers!!! It's paper with wax on one side like wax paper. You get them cut to order and place 10 or 20 in the cage and just remove the top layer when it gets soiled. Its really easy, and cuts down on the smell, because it's like new litter every day or every other, specially in the summer the way little scraps of dropped fruit smell after only a day or two .

They are design for birds but work for anything that will not shred it up. Which some, and only some will do.
