Diana,
Back in December around Christmas, I too thought mine was pregged. They went through this weird mating dance and ritual which was funny as all get out. I wrote and asked people how I could tell if she was pregged. Her pouch which was generally flexable was what I called sealed shut. She seemed not interested in the males advancements and I was for sure she had joeys. She started putting on weight. She spent a lot of time cleaning the inside of her pouch. I was for sure. By April I noticed her weight had gone up and down a little bit but not too much many times. I think I was just hoping I guess. The weight fluctuations could have been that I was giving her extra proteins thinking she had joeys. As far as her not wanting his advancements, I figure that maybe just like some humans , sometimes they want it, sometimes they don't. I went to Ohio in June, I was there about 4 days she was acting weird, she was pretty restless, generally she is very, very well mannered. She stays with me all the time and she behaves very well in public. Our Other glider is usually the one that don't settle too easily. You would have sworn that the two of them changed bodies for a week. He was very, very good, whereas; she was antsy, nervous, and just downright restless. She makes trip with me a lot and we have never had a problem with her. We thought it could have been that the scents of the other gliders might have been bothering her.. But wait ..it wasn't affecting Smokey why not ? He is the neurotic one of the two. Well we left Ohio on the 19th. We returned home and she was still a little antsy that evening but, basically normal. The next day she went right into my pocket as usual. But, something was different, she again wouldn't settle down. she was still on my shirt she just kept tossing and turning in my pocket. I tried to put her back into her cage, but she didn't want to go, she went back into my pocket. So at this point I was thinking Jet Lag.. I went to the bank and again she came out and went back in tossing and turning the whole time she was in. About 1 city block later I looked in on her and started to ask her "what was wrong" and when I opened my pocket, I seen a joey making it's way from the birth canal to the pouch..I have the rest of the story on a previous post.. But after they made the trip and they were in the pouch.. There was no doubt in our minds they were there. Her pouch area had definite bulges, we could visually see that they were there. Mind you, the joeys, at this time wasn't much bigger than a piece of rice (cooked), but the difference it made in my Baybe's pouch was remarkable. We are still waiting for them to come oop, but she shows us the joeys regularly. We are able to watch the growing process with her permission and her blessing. She holds the pouch open and looks up at us as if to say "See my babies mommy" She has let each one in the family gently feel the joeys through the outside of the pouch. As a general rule she doesn't let anyone mess with her but me. She is proud of them and wants us to be a part of them as well.. Just give it time I was told they are only from conception to birthing 16 days the rest of the time is in the pouch for the rest of the developement. I know what it is like to want. I tried so hard to make it so she had the symptoms (unknowingly). I know they were not in the first stage for 4 months. At least they know how to do it .. so it will only be a matter of time.. Good Luck
