Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I didn't try it earlier because I had it in the back of my head that she might be mean to the joey because the mother is mean to the loner. This whole little experiment also showed me that no glider should be raised alone. That they all need a companion of there own kind. They just get to starved for attention no matter how much me, as her human, shows her. It just isn't the same and I hope that anyone who decides to become a gliders human that they take that into consideration and only get pairs. Of course this is only my opinion and my observation. Oh, and I really didn't take it as a negative reflection on me. I just was being overly cautious with my gliders well being.
Thanks again.

: sounds like an ideal answer. Keep letting the two play together and get aquaintanced. I was actually going to suggest this in your earlier post.
: Just keep a close eye. But it sounds like your lone glider is so strved of companionship she will dote over a new companion. (PS this is in no way a reflection on you but just on circumstances.)

: : I asked before if 5 could live in one cage because I have a lone female by herself and the parents of joeys try to hurt her now. Mary confirmed my fear that no they could not. Well, last night, I let the lone female see and make contact with one of the 5 week oop joeys, (both are female)
: : and it was one of the most bittersweet things I have ever seen. The lone glider loved the joey and started to clean the joeys ears and snuggle with her. It was precious but sad because it showed me how really lonely the one glider is. I play with her and show her affection all of the time but obviousely she needs other physical glider contact. My question is, when the joey is weaned, can she share a cage with my lone female. The joey was snuggling back and seemed to like the attention. Any thoughts here?
