The breeder I got my glider from said that hes been breeder them for almost 6 years and hes never even once had one die, or have to take them to the vet. But, I remember once when my hedgehog got her leg cut off, I had no vet tp take her to cause noone took them so I had to care for it myself.
I dont want to ever be panicked like that again, spending a whole day calling vets, so I found a vet, almost an hour away!. But still, it's very important to have one, JUST IN CASE. Also, I don't think there are any shots that are made for gliders, and I wouldnt even want to TRY something that wasnt made for gliders...i.e Rabies shots. Just play it safe. And having a vet available is always a good idea when it comes to ANY of my pets in my 'zoo'
