Subject: Pesticides? Laundry Soap? IMPORTANT QUESTIONS! Posted by Kerry on June 23, 2000 at 21:54:46 from 205.188.193.181 Hi! I have a question, it is kind of important! How do you know if your glider has been poisoned by pesticides? Earler today I bought some rasberries for my sugar gliders and before I even thought to wash then (i never wash them when I eat them and it didn't occure to me right away to wash them for my babies!) one of my little ones snagged one and ate it. Now he is just not acting like himself, he is eating but not with as much of an appetite as he usually has (he loves food!) and seems to want to sleep more, and when I am holding him he just kinda wants to curl up in my shirt. Even when he is "active" I see his eyes half-closing now and then, especially when I am holding him! What first tipped me off that something was wrong was that he was not sleeping with his brother, he was sleeping in another of their pouches! I also recently (two days ago) washed their pouches, could the fragrances/chemicals in the soap be 'causing a problem?? Should I try to take this little guy to a vet? What should I be doing in the meantime? I am trying to get him to eat and drink more... I do not want him to get dehydrated! How does one treat a poisoning? Is there anything I, or a vet, can do?? Thanks for all your help! Kerry (with her littles ones, Gus-Gus and Jack)
