This is just my opinion. I never feed my SG anything from the outside, you never know what type of chemicals they have been in contact with. I always by my insects from the pet store, yes, they can be costly but it's a lot cheaper than taking you SG to the vet for posioning.


: I'm a new poster. I have a boy. I got him 3/18/00 and the breeder said he was six weeks old. (I'm assuming he's 5 mos OOP?) Went to the pet store today to buy his mealworms and the clerk asked me if I was cutting its head off before I feed it to him, because the worm could eat his stomach and cause problems. Well my sg holds the worm at his head and tail and starts with the middle - will the head still hurt him if I don't cut it off? Also are fresh(washed)alive grasshoppers, & maybe a wild camealon(lots outside my front door) ok for him to eat? Or should I kill them first?
