in total agreement here, I think a lot of accidents can be avoided, but when people think they have checked everything we can always find one more thing to check, we have the Gliderproofing page on SGI that has been built by many people, and Thomas sent in loads more, anyone that can think of any more to add please lets me know.. Prevention is the sure fire way to happy healthy lives..
The thing with roomates, is that they don't have to think of YOUR pets, and many times don't. The end result sometimes sorry to say is death, this we have seen , time and time again. But with the prevention of being sure your cage is escapeproof, as well as making sure it can't be accidently opened not only by roomates, but kids, and others that also may be curious.. some have installed locks on their cage doors, doing as much as you can.. like with the sponges on the toilet seats, grates on the drains,.. etc..every little bit helps to ensure that ANYONE can be protected..
