It sounds to me like Casey has made his own schedule for sleeping so he can play with you during the day when you are awake. I have heard of people who have worked with their SG so they will be awake during the day.
You will probably just have to wait and see if he eventually sleeps during the day.
You didn't mention how old he is and how long you have had him. Also, are his activities, diet, stools, etc. normal in all other aspects.
