Denis -

Although a terrarium would be a good idea in theory (replicating their natural habitat), I wouldn't think it would be the best thing to do. Cleaning would be a major pain because of their little habit of marking their territory. In a closed environment like that YOU would have to do the cleaning, as opposed to the weather doing the cleaning outdoors. Not to mention, you would have to make special efforts to only use non-toxic plants/trees for the glider's safety - and I don't know what plants will tolerate the urine. Personally, I think a wire cage works best with natural branches - easy to clean and the branches are replaceable.

: Has anyone made experiences with keeping gliders in a "Terrarium" (I hope this is the right term in English - I mean the kind of "glass-cage" you keep for example beardies in). A friend of mine offered me his old one (it´s quite big - about 30x30x50 inches high) and i thought it might have advantages. For example it would allow me to let them hunt their insects every night (the crickets would not escape through the cage wire). I have lots of things they could climb on when inside it and after all, I take them out to play nearly every night anyway.
: Any opinion, advice on this?
