: 1. The place I want to put my S.G. cage, I don't think is dark enough; should I cover the cage with a towel in the day time? It depends - never put your glider in direct sunlight or in a place over 80 degrees. It's okay to have some natural light, though. They need to know when it's night vs. day. : 2. Do S.G. go potty whenever or is there a certain amount of time in between? There is no set time. Usually Eos has to potty after a long nap or as soon as I take her out of her nesting box or cage. I put her on newspaper until she goes. Invariably, they will have accidents, though. : 3.How much does it cost to powder coat a galvanized cage? What's powder coating anyways? Don't know this. Have you looked into PVC coated wire? I have a huge cage that was inexpensive. : 4.Do S.G. wake up early on days when it's dark and overcast? I haven't noticed that with Eos. : 5.When you guys talk about "American Express" gliders, are they awake most of the time you take them everywhere? Eos is usually asleep when I take her around. When I taught school last year, she liked to come out around 10am and visit for awhile, but she was pretty calm. She'd sort of sit on my shoulder and watch everyone. Also, when I take her out early (7 am) she's still pretty active and will ride around on my shoulder. : 6.Is it possible to train them or at least get them used to waking them up in the day and going places? They kind of adjust to you - I don't wake Eos up to go with me, but if she's not getting enough play time at night, she'll wake up in the day and want to play chase. It's perfectly okay to carry them around in your shirt or purse while you go about your day. They don't mind a bit! :)
