Okay, these questions were answered pretty well by everyone
else, so I'll just share this.

When it is stormy or overcast, my gliders don't know when to go to bed
in the morning and are really hyper when I wake up. They don't sleep in
their cage during the day, so I have a hard time calming them down before
I go to work so I can let them out and they won't continue running around
during the day. When it is sunny, they have no problem. I've never noticed
them waking up earlier if it is darker earlier.
