: I remember a post a while back regarding mealworms, but it
: just talked about ordering them. I was wondering, with
: superworms, my friend cuts off their heads before feeding
: them to his lizard. He heard somewhere that they can bite
: a hole into the inside of the stomach before they get digested.
: Does anyone here think it is neccessary for gliders. Lizards
: don't really chew, but gliders do. Has anyone had any problems
: with gliders killed by superworms?

We buy the smaller mealworms, and our gliders love them. They are, without a doubt, Piper and Jenny's favorite food. They eat them like bananas, so there is no chance of a mealwork ending up in any condition to eat their way out of either glider.

We originally limited the number of mealworms we fed our gliders (based on information we had read). However, our vet told us that he doesn't see any problem at all, so now we got through a tub of 50 every week for two gliders.
