Suzanne, I noticed in your EM addy that it's flying squirrel something. Just so you know, gliders are very different than FS's... 1. OOP means "out of pouch"...When the babies are out of the mothers pouch. 2. The experience I have had with gliders (pet sitting for 2 months and the such..) I didn't think they smelled that bad, just you have to keep the cage clean, or they will smell. 3. If one of them smells more it is definately males. Yes, if you get them neutered their bald spot disapears and they smell less I believe. 4. I am not sure if you can house train them? I have heard of gliders being tissue trained. 5. Do not get from a breeder who hand feeds or pulls their babies. From my research, gliders wean themselves at 7-8 weeks...(I think...if I am wrong please correct me.) 6. Gliders bond better than flying squirrels. (I've had those too.) 7. There are leashes for gliders, but I wouldn't recommend them. A good bond is all the leash you'll need. 8. When a glider is bonded to you, you should be able to bring it everywhere with you. As it will stay on you, but be sure they it is bonded, do not take any chances. I am sure than flying squirrels are much easier to take care of. As they are rodents and gliders are marsupials. Two very different animals. I'm sure someone more experienced can give you more information right now, but I hope this helps a little! <3 Chancy
