: Hi every 1 this is my first time on this messege board.I have just resently got my glider and we still are in the bonding process. I 've only had her for 3 days.(She is so cute!)But I don't know what to name her. I have lot's of names on my list but I just can't choose one. How did you guys choose your gliders names????

My wife decided that we would try to find aviation-related names for our gliders since I am a licensed pilot and our gliders also seem to fly. We came up with Piper for the male and Jenny for the female. Piper is a manufacturer of small airplanes, and Jenny is the nickname of the Curtiss JN-4, a WWI-era biplane.

I named their first baby Peanut because that's what he looked like when he was first out-of-pouch. The people we gave him to renamed him Flit after a character in Disney's Fantasia.
