There are rules against shipping warm blooded animals. Basically tell her that and that if need be people woudl track her down if she did it. It would be akin to killing the gliders right off. Actually currently there is NO way to ship as all airlines have suspended shipping for the summer. They were required to provide figures on how many animals were dying and rather than do that they just shut down shipping for the whole of the summer. : Ok guys and gals, : I am asking this question NOT cuz I am considering it, but because I was told this in an E-mail from a lady that is needing to find her sons gliders a new home. : She posted on one of the glider lists I belong to, and when I wrote her about the gliders, she responded back to me telling me she had received 3 requests for the gliders. : She mentioned in the E-mail to me that 2 of the people that E-mailed her had asked her to ship them OVERNITE EXPRESS MAIL. : Through the post office. : I was like OMG NOOOOO!!! : I E-mailed her back, and told her please do NOT send them through the Mail. : for numerous reasons, most for the ovious. : I also mentioned to her to come to this board and post a message and ask others their feelings towards shipping a Sugar Glider through the mail over nite delivery. : She lives in Nebraska, and if anyone is interested please E-mail me and I will forward your info onto her. : These people that E-mailed her told her they would travel FINE with NO troubles. : I do not know where these people live, but my heck I have troubles with my post office EVERY day. : I am still waiting for my crickets to get here that were shipped on July 3rd. : Post Offices are NOT reliable and I would NEVER consider shipping one through them. : So please everyone give your feedback as to why or why not they should ship these Gliders through the Post Office. : I will then forward the responses back to her and hopefully change her mind to even consider shipping that way. : Jacque
