My thoughts on cage size: Absolute minumum is 18" x 18" x 24" tall. MUST have a wodent wheel and branches are a plus. Bigger is definitely better and you should always have as big a cage as space and finances allow. I suggest longer and taller keeping the depth at 18 - 20 inches for ease of cleaning. Being short, once cage is much deeper than 20 inches I can't reach the back easily for removing dropped food, etc. Of course, anyone over 5' tall could go deeper as well as longer & taller.
