When I adopted Pebbles from my brother, she didn't trust me at all. She also didn't like living in a cage. She had free reign in the appartment she was in. When I would fetch her from her bag (she sleeps in a felt bag hanging from the center of the cage) she would chirp at me and bite my fingers as I would try to get her at of the bag then tear up my hands with her claws trying to get away. What I ended up doing was leaning back and making a pouch out of the front of my shirt and holding onto her while she was in the pouch. When she would calm down I would give her a shelled unsalted raw peanut. It is her favorite treat. Each day she took less time to calm down and let me pet her.

: I've had my glider for about a month now and even with constant attention and handling he is still very skitish and always jumps from my hand. I am looking for some tips about how to get him to bond better with me and how to get him to like sleeping in my pockets. Thank you for any suggestions.
