I just ran into this problem myself, but it turned out okay. None of my friends wanted to care for my two because they were afraid of the responsibility, so I ended up boarding them at the vet that I take them to. It was a REAL HARD decision, because I really wanted to have them at home. What I can suggest, should this happen to you, is to call them ahead of time and make sure they know the feeding schedule, also see if they can take their regular cage they live in(I have a travel cage and a 5' cage so I wanted the larger cage there). I then made a feeding schedule for everyday I was gone, packed everything in a cooler and took it all to the office. I also gave instructions for them not to be held (mine will bite strangers anyway), because I didn't want them stressed out when I got back. I was gone for about 8 days and they were fine. Good Luck.
: I'm going on vacation soon, and I was wondering what the best way to handle my gliders would be, since I can't take them with me. : WOuld it be better to give them to a friend to tke care of, or leave them at home, where they (I have 2) would be more familiar with the surroundings and have a friend come over to feed them.
