No, hummingbird nectar is not the same. It is usually little more than colored sugar water. The kind of necter that is suggested for sugar gliders is Lory or Lorikeet Nectar (or Gliderade which is blueberry flavored Lory nectar). Lorikeets are an Australian nectar eating parrot that live in the same areas sugar gliders do and eat the same kinds of nectar.
