I am not bothered by the odor but my boyfriend rewally is...some peo[ple find it strong soem don't. I think the smell of a ferret is much worse. Yes females have an odoe but do not have a scent gland.....some females will pee on you to make up for this.....they can be just as territorial, and mark you with pee or just rubbing all over you.

If they are on a good diet they have firm but not hard feces...pretty small...I guess the size of a mouse. However on a bad diet it can be runny and mushy. I don't really notice the smell...but they do go EVERYWHERE! They can not be potty trained....and go a lot on their owners. I would not clean the cage every day or even ever week...chanbe the litter every week and maybe run warm water over the cage. If you mask over the smell of gliders by cleaning the cage they will become mad and mark the cage harder than before...everytime you clean it they will make it smell worse. Never wash all the toys and bedding at the smae time...you must wash one thing at a time...so the cage still smells like them.

Deffinitly do more reaserch...of you are real concerned with smells and cleanliness you may consider a differnt pet. They clean themselves real well but will poop and pee everywhere.
