Subject: Couple of Q's...

I've got a couple of questions about diet and light. I'm finding contradictory information about vit. D3, namely that gliders need around 1/2 hour or so of sunlight per day to allow their bodies to process vit. D1 to D3. Of course, strong sunlight hurts their eyes... Would a plant light (full spectrum) work as an alternative, not being as bright but still providing the right spectrum, or will this also be harmful to their eyes? Since I'm feeding mine the Rep-Cal w/D3, can I ignore this quandry? My second question is mainly out of curiosity. I've seen a lot of references regarding a high calcium to phosphate ratio, or explaining the need for calcium/protein/D3. Does phosphate serve a dietary purpose, and can a SG become phosphate deficient? I suppose in relation to this, is there a recommended calcium/phosphate ratio? Thanks, Sean
