You know I read this and I responded, but then I went back cause I knew I remembered that name Herpetons.. So I decided to go check out the home page, Just as I thought. This is the same place that says they throw their gliders 30 ft to people just to watch it glide..Tell me who here would even think of "tossing" their beloved glider that far just to see it glide. Also the info in the Mag..."the Friendly
creature can survive on (fruit, nuts, & cat food) for 10 years or more," is seriously misleading. Fruit I agree but nuts and cat food.. come on guys, for 10 years ?? Is this really a healthy diet for gliders? Then the "Ask your local pet store if it's USDA certified to carry them " I have been in pet stores even if they were USDA licensed I would be weary as to the care of the glider.. No mention of breeders? It stated they require a lot of care .. but my gosh.. I personally don't think the article was done responsibly. I personally now am really worried as to the heath and welfare of many gliders going into homes without the proper info (they do insist on each person purchasing a book.. by whom?? who knows?) being given first, These people are looking at possibilities and not at what all is involved. I went to his page and there really isn't much info regarding gliders, They specialize in reptiles (and other exoctics) Check out their links.. Vets and reptile links.. Where are the glider links? It looks like an ad for a mass sale, and it is being treated as such. Where does the responsibility really fall? Is this a case of Buyer beware? Or should they be held responsible for the future of these gliders going to fad hunting, impulsive people that will be buying them then neglecting them or worse? After all aren't they advertising them like expensive pants? ..Tossing a glider 30 feet.. My Gawd..

This is ONLY MY opinion...
