Personally I think it is SG mood, as you call it. I have 4 adult SG, and they are all extremely picky when it comes to mealtime.
I have NEVER been able to get mine to eat leadbetters no matter what I have done. Bourbon even gave me some advice on adding some things to help, but NOooooo, not my little darlings.
If yours will eat leadbetters, consider yourself way ahead of the game. Keep offering her favorite fruits/veggies but leadbetters is a complete diet so she will get everything she needs.
Consider anything else a bonus. Have you tried cantalope,grapes,watermelon, honey dew melon?
I hope this at least makes you feel more at ease.
