: I'm considering adopting a pair of sugar gliders, but I spoke with Outback Pets in Austin and they said gliders and ferrets don't mix. According to the man I spoke with, my ferret will try to eat the gliders. My ferret is so sweet, that's hard to imagine.

: I have 2 cats, but I think they're too snooty to bother the gliders. One of them plays with the ferret and the other doesn't play with anyone, so I'm not worried so much about the cats. Does anyone out there live with sugar gliders and ferrets? How do they get along? Is this really a bad idea? Any comments will be appreciated.

: I have a glider and a ferret, and even though my ferret is harmless. He has never bit or attacked any of my other animals (dog, cat, guine pig) he just plays with them and walks away but thats only because they are slow moving animals. My chincilla on the other hand he chases it and tries to bite it. Because of that I will never let my glider get near my ferret, because ferrets are carnivors (meat eaters) and were originally used to chase and kill mice and rats, it is only natural for them to attack your sugar glider especially since they are so fast.
When I first got my glider, as soon as it smelled the ferret it started screaming. So it really is a bad idea.
