I have SGs and a hedgehog. They have never even been in the same room together.
By the way, when hedgehogs reach adulthood, they are not as cuddly as they were as babies. My Bandit still likes to try to cuddle, but he is much too prickly. If you get one, be very very careful when you try to recapture him/her to put back in cage. They will ball up and it will be very difficult to pick them up.
Before someone gets me for the hedgehog, let me say that all hedgehogs are not the same. Just like any other pet.
But whatever you decide, never never let them out together!
