You are one voice here, noone else ina multitude of glider owners who have had babies would do this. To take a baby away from its mother before it is weaned is cruel. I will go so far as to say all posts that advocate this point of view should probably be deleted. There is a large body of thought here that does not want to condone such a foolish and deadly practise. Better bondage yes you stated it well bondage is when you tie something up against its will, people here practise mutual bonding by getting trust in a sensible manner. : 5 weeks old is not bad. I purchased my glider when they were 5 and 3 weeks old from a very well known and respected breeder. I will not mention her name. If you request it breeders will let you and you get a way better bondage. You have to feed him Espalac, puppy milk supplement out of a small syringe and baby food or applesauce feed him 3 to 4 times a day. Make a shirt with a little pouch in the front of it and play with him for 2 hours a day. And put a little stuffy or t-siirt that you slept with, with your scent on it in his nest. My gliders are extremely affectionate and yours will bont quickly with love and attention and know you as his mom. Hope I helped. ;)
