: you made the right decision. Gail is a breeder, her gliders are not wild (that i know of) especially if it was a baby one. THAT is why i was so disappointed in what I saw. From what I heard, shes very reputable and her gliders are the " sweetest baby gliders blahblah.." but every single glider i saw her sell ( which was 2 in abou half an hour ) and a hedgehog..

Well, there are several things to consider here. For one, your gliders are bonded to you so that would explain why they would be less likely to crab at you. For another, the ones she brought were babies, unbonded to anyone, brought into that environment and probably getting handled but many strangers before they do find a home. If I were in their place I would be pretty scared too!!

Also, I know Gail just recently aquired a bunch more breeding pairs from someone who was going out of this buisness and needed someone to take their gliders. At the time she had had a staff of 9 people who work at her breeding facility, but I think she doubled (or more) her glider breeding stock when she took on the new ones so her babies may not be getting as much individual time and attention from her staff right now. But just because they were jumpy and crabby does not mean they are mean or wild. Everyone who said they had planned to buy one from her at the show and didn't should really consider just calling her and either meeting her down in Columbus privatly or visiting her in Mont Pelier if you really want to get a good idea of what her gliders are like. I spent alot of time finding the best breeder and nicest gliders and she was who I chose.
