: Hi! Me again. Thanks to everbody who answered my other post :) but I have yet another question.
: Are Sugar Gliders allowed to come into CA for, say, about 2 weeks and then leave again? I'm worried that when I go back to CA. to visit friends and family I won't be able to take my fuzzy friend with me! :( And since I just moved here I don't trust anyone yet with my Sugar Glider. I'm also afraid that if I do take my Sugar Glider with me, at the border they might not let me in with him. Don't worry, I haven't gotten my furry friend yet and my parents will only let me get a sugar glider if I can take him with me to CA. Yikes!! :/ If you could answer this soon I would GREATLY APPRECIATE it! Thanks!

: P.S. I'm looking for CA Fish and Game laws to see if that covers anything about Sugar Gliders (on the internet). Do anybody know where that's located?

As far as anyone has been able to post s.g.'s are held with the same regard as ferrets in CA. Sorry but if you manage to smuggle an s.g. into CA. you may run the risk of someone finding out and it might be confiscated and destroyed. I know you don't want to here this but...This is important for you and a glider. Also, sometimes gliders are found out because they are taken to a vet. What if your glider needed urgent care could you be able to take it to a vet where they are legal? People have even gone to the length of providing a fake address in the state where they are legal for the vet. If you can do this MAYBE it would work but I'd never put my Griz through this! I'm glad I live where it's O.K. to have gliders. It's up to you but please think about how you would deal with an emergency before you get one and take it to CA. This is meant for your well being to. When I almost lost Griz to a heat wave I became near hysterical! Griz took a couple of days to recover. I do have a vet that has worked with gliders but even he admits that he doesn't know everything. Glider love and nibbles, Diana
