: My daughter Lizzie and I bought a sugar glider (Nathan) about two years ago. When Nahan was about nine months old I found him dead. I had my vet do an autopsy but he never found anything wrong with him. We are now ready to get a another one but before I do I wanted to know if anyone every had this happen to their sugar glider. Thanks Lizzie and Susan

My husband and I have been raising Sugar Gliders since we retired in our mid-fifties. Only once has this unfortunate event happened to us. Our first Sugar Glider, Dolly, was found dead when she was 2 years. Our doctor had granted her a clean bill of health just a week before, at her monthly checkup. We were devastated by not knowing te cause of her death. It was probably inbreeding or something related. If it was a disease the doctor surley would have noticed. If you get another, find out as much as you can about where the people got it, and look for warning signs of a problem. Good luck!!
