Message: Hi Everyone! It has been four days since I first brought my new glider home. I finally gave him the name Buddie. Every thing is going really smooth so far. Here are some of the progress that we have made: 1. He doesn't crab when I pick him up. 2. He willingly climbs on my hand when it is within reach. 3. He is very reluctant to be put down and clings on to my fingers for dear life. 4. He is able to locate my shirt pocket without any help and happily sleeps in there. 5. He doesn't crab when in my pocket; even with sudden movements, the presence of strange noises, or me looking down in it. I have to really say that Buddie's bonding process is going exactly the way the book says it should. My advice to anyone getting a first glider would be to get the youngest one possible. If you want to know what Buddie looked like when I got him, then take a look at Outback Pets Page under the links. My baby looks exactly the age of the baby in the homepage. Buddie is like a real human baby when it comes to sleeping and eating schedule. He sleeps a few hours, wakes up, gets fed and goes right back to sleep again. This goes on through out the whole day. And at night when I put him in the cage he would frequently cry(shhhshhhshhhh.. sound), and when I take him out he stops. It's only been four days and I still have plenty of stories to tell, but I save them for next time. Austin, TX glider,
