Gliders typically, do not care for banana (unless it is over-ripe). Mine only like banana baby food.
Regarding lettuce - regular iceberg lettuce is not really good for gliders (or birds). It has little nutricianal value and can cause bloating and gas. Sometimes I give mine a little bit of "little gem" lettuce or spinach. They love the fact that it's like a leaf, I think.
