It is very important not to let a gliders claws get too long-They can really
hurt themselves if they get caught on things, not to mention hurting you.

I cut my gliders claws with a regular people's nail clipper. I wrap them in their favorite
blanket, hold them tight, and put out a paw, one by one. They hate it and struggle, but
I have never been able to do it any other way. Appease yours with treats in between paws-
that seems to calm mine down.

Some people put a very fine sand paper in their wheel, but I have never tried this-only one
of my gliders runs on the wheel.

Be careful with putting rough things in their cage for them to walk on-it care irritate their feet-
they are quite sensitive.

Make sure too that when you cut their nails you don't cut them too short-just cut off the tips-
you can see the little blood vessels in their nails, stay away from these. It takes a bit of practice
cutting their nails- I used to cut my gliders too short, but not short enough for her to bleed, but she
couldn't hang on to anything!

I cut my glider's nails about every 2-3 weeks. I used to have to cut my baby's every week though
they grew so fast and she caught on everything.
