How cruel for the web site owner, Terry, to tell someone to hold them under water! These ARE babies. Babies of any specie will bite when frightened. DON'T HOLD THEM UNDER TAP WATER or any other water. Put yourself in the glider's place. This big creature is waggling a pinkie in your space. You bite it to make it go away, right? Pick them up & cuddle them! I'll bite a finger shoved in my face too, wouldn't you? Animals in zoos & petting zoos get mean from being "poked at". I believe there are 2 gliders here. Separate them & work with them individually. They have bonded to each other & have no need for you. Change this & see if they don't respond.
