Subject: crickets, etc.

I am interested in all the posts I see of folks feeding
their gliders crickets. I feed my girls lots of fresh fruits, veggies,
nuts and berries,
yogurt, meat, etc.(they LOVE dried banana chips - they each get one
every night). I tried giving them a meal worm, but they both looked at me
like I was insane! (and quite honestly I was incredibly
relieved - those things are GROSS!)

How do you feed crickets? Let them loose in the cage? What
stops them from getting away and infesting your house? (I know
a cricket in your house is supposed to be good luck, but it
makes me nuts - they are noisier than the girls!)

I bought a dish of mealworms from my pet store with the intention
of giving them each one after they had their nails "done".
(I take them back to the pet store and let THEM be the bad
guy...) So instead we hit Taco Bell first and get a little
dish of shredded taco cheese and they each get some of that
after their nail appointment on Fridays.

Thanks for all your help - I've been a "lurker" here for
6 months since we got the girls... and I've enjoyed your
insights.
