I personally wouldn't have tried to find out his temper level or how sharp his teeth was. You might have taken a nice sweet glider and gave him the opportunity to begin a bad habit. The first week of a new glider being with you should be doing nothing but trying to BUILD his trust..Let him know he is safe with you.. Give this little guy some time to trust you.. a hand tamed glider might have reacted the exact same way. My glider as docile as she is.. might lose my trust if I ever pushed her to the point to MAKE her bite me. No, in this case it wouldn't have mattered if it were wild or hand tamed.
