If the constipation does not go away in a few days, take your glider to the vet. One of my gliders kept getting constipation and we weren't feeding her anything she could not digest-like cat food (she is on a mostly fruit/mealworm diet) But anyway, if the constipation is continuous, the glider can really hurt itself by straining and the damage can be irreversible. If it gets bad, put your glider on a fuit juice diet (natural juice!) and take it to the vet. Mine got some laxatives (even though she wasn't having the problem at the time) and now is doing much better. Constipation can be caused by a lot of things ranging from eating something that they cannot digest properly to food allergies to lack of calcium to parasites. One other remedy, let your glider lick a bit of vaseline. Sorry to ramble so much about this subject, but my glider just went through this problem fairly cronically, so I wanted to write this if anyone else has this problem and it is caused by something other than catfood. My glider is much better now, but she's still on medicine-I think she's allergic to the egg in leadbetters.
