When i have new glider babies plus when we rescued gliders we bonded slightly differently. Both myself and my husband handled them, and with the older ones we only let them sit and climb on us and we would let them jump from one to the other. They ended up bonding to both of us with them running up and climbing on us, rubbing on us, licking our faces equally. This also seemed to help when we then found other homes for the rescue as these gliders were willing to be friendly to any person offering mealworms. whether our gliders are bonded a little less well but more generally i do not know but I would say slight interaction of your husband would probably be good rather than bad . of course all advice just my humble opinion
: I made sure that Griz was bonded to me before I let my man Axell even try to hold him. Same went for Lily when Axell was bonding to her. We let each glider understand that both smells would be associated with food and play time 'cause we work different hours. I would say that for now until YOUR baby is fully bonded to you don't let you hubby get too used to handling him. But you will need to teach your glider to get used to your husband putting his hand in the cage to feed him and let him play. AFTER, he has bonded to you! I could be wrong, I'm not a person who has gliders for years. I'm just telling you how Axell and I did it. Good luck! Glider love and nibbles, Diana
