from the picture your glider looks about four weeks out of pouch and not eating solid food. I too would say this is too young. By treating the glider babies well while they grow up and wean, you CAN bond this well and easily without weaning too early.
As W can agree any baby I sell is both weaned and that friendly. Generally when the person comes round the baby jumps on them and climbs all over. once the baby climbed up the daughter's (age 14) short leg exploring!!!
