i'm like you and don't care for the "ugly" little critters like crickets and meal worms...the best way i found to feed the crickets is to get a small fish bowl like the ones BETA fish come in ( it is large enough for the crickets not to jump out of, but small enough for the SG to get in there and get those little buggers. i have done this several times and didn't notice any new crickets roaming my apt, but have seem bug smears on the bottom where Sunshine had gotten at least a couple of them. plus you don't even have to touch the crickets, just pour them from the bag you get at the petstore right into the bowl. hope this helps if you haven't found a way yet
