As Sherry said, gliders are not for young children. I've seen posts from others who have had accidents involving children and gliders. Gliders will sometimes fly to a face or the top of a person's face and they do bite when stressed and the gliders claws and bites do hurt! Imagine what would happen if a glider jumped to the child's head and dug claws into the child's scalp? I would lay odds that the child would be frightened and the glider would be injured or killed as the child tried to get the glider off. Not a good combination. Also pets that are this small and cute are a magnet for kids. He would be eaten up with couriosity and maybe get the glider out when you weren't looking so just putting the glider in a cage wouldn't keep it safe. Sorry to tell you this but it's only to help and save some trouble. Glider love and nibbles, Diana
