Subject: Yikes - she's GONE!

Seems like I've been posting an awful lot lately.
Buffy is still at the breeder's and Boomer is a little
bummed about the whole deal... (checked on Buffy Saturday,
she and the male are getting along famously BTW). Anyhow,
last night we put Boomer to bed in her cage as usual, and off to
bed we went. Woke up this morning to the cage door open and
NO BOOMER! We saw signs she had been in the kitchen - some of the knick
knacks were knocked off the shelf - checked all the spots we
could think of - kleenex boxes, paper towel rolls, nooks and
crannies (there are a zillion of them in this house though...) Sure hope as it gets closer and closer to evening (and dark) she
will wake up and come on out. It's making me awfully nervous
though. Friday afternoon about 4:00 we bombed the house for
bugs. (Took Boomer with us to our condo on Cocoa Beach for
the occasion... put her cage outside - hosed it down when we
got home and put in all new bedding, etc.) But I wasn't expecting
her to be out and about so hadn't finished cleaning everything
(ie the top of the fridge - that sort of thing...) Sure hope
she doesn't find a poisoned bug and try to eat it. I'll keep you all posted on the developments. I have to go out
at 6:30, but might just blow it off waiting for Boomer to reappear. Wish us luck!
