Subject: First time barking

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share this. I'm a new owner, I've had my 8 mo. old male (Zuko) for 3 mo.'s now. Did a lot of research prior to purchase and
tons more afterward. Thanx goes to this page for lots of advise. Anyways, he's been a great lil' guy. The fussing sound was weird at first
and the hard nips on the fingers/hand were unpleasant, but not disheartening. I've kept up the tlc and I love it. Well, this morning, around
5:30 am I was laying in bed when I heard a low barking sound. It sounded like a little puppy. I rushed out of bed to see what it was, and there
was Zuko, perched atop the branches in his cage, barking. Calling, from what I've read, for other of his kind. Wonder if he was calling for a
mate? Anyways, it was very "cool" to just stand there and listen, to absorb the continuingly new and wonderful experiences with Zuko. So there
it is, not too exciting, but I'm sure other rookie (or seasoned) owners have felt the same, so I thought I'd share. Thanx again for this site,
great source of dialog. Hey, if anyone knows a good vet in San Diego, drop me a line - I need to get Zuko nuetered. Tons of cheer, bye!
