I clean their cage every five days using a bleach, soap, and water solution. plus I use a disinfectant around the cage area. But the next day, the smell is back. Any suggestions? YES! The male will almost always musk when put near a female. Seperate them and he will calm down... ;) I always recommend two of the same sex for people not wanting to breed. If you are wanting to breed, then you better make a place for them away from yours, because they will smell, they will be loud, and they will multiply! Dont forget the legal stuff too; I hear they are getting pretty vicious lately about that.
