Subject: Medication Tip

My female has been sick with an infection in the female
track. My Vet gave me some liquid antibotics for her. If
any of you have ever had to give a glider oral medication,
you know what a hard time it is to get them to open their
mouth so that you can drop the medication in using a
syringe or eye dropper. I hated putting Mama-g thru that
ordeal when she already did not feel good. I had an idea
last weekend the I thought I would share should any of you
need to give the medication orally. I filled the syringe
that the vet gave me with the correct amount of medicine and
then got a syringe that diabetics use and filled it from the
vets syringe so that I would know the proper dosage as the
syringes are not calculated the same. Once I had that
figured out, I took some corn which is her favorite and
put the medicine in several of the pieces of corn. I did not
know if she would eat it or not but...she did and did not
mind the medicine in the corn. If any one has any other
ideas I would appreciate some alternatives should she decide
not to eat the medicine corn. I also put some of the meds
in her peas and she ate that as well.
